Alpha Guide's evaluation
One of the most iconic grand hotels in Greece. Built in 1914 by the benefactor Sotirios Anargiros from Spetses, it underwent the renovation that it deserved and made a dynamic comeback in the hotel market. “Quiet” designer furniture and decorative items in earth tones highlight the building’s unique architectural characteristics. The rooms, of various types, are located in the old building and in a newly built wing on the back side, where the imperial suite, with its own pool and the deluxe rooms, bungalow-style, are found. Even though they are more comfortable than the standard rooms of the main building, they lack the sense of magnificence of the former. “La Cupola” Suite -in two levels inside the iconic dome of the hotel- is unique, and so is the spa. The restaurant “On the Verandah” offers a romantic setting, while in summertime here we can also find “Freud Oriental”. Both restaurants get their vegetables daily from the organic farm of the complex. Small, “decorative” swimming pool
