In one of the city’s most central pedestrian streets, a residential apartment building was converted into a boutique hotel - the sister of “Anemi Hotel” in Folegandros. The intensive use of marble and wood highlights a “design” decorative approach, which openly engages in dialogue with the hotel’s location in the heart of the historic center, adopting both ancient Greek motifs and designer furniture from well-known Greek and foreign firms in the atmospheric rooms of various types. Those on the front side of the fifth and sixth floor are more privileged, as they afford panoramic views, while “vertical gardens” filter the view of the rooms found on the back side to the unbuilt space behind the building.
